Tu Nokwe

Tu Nokwe is one of a kind South African icon, that has done it all in her long and illustrious career, she is an actor, singer, songwriter, composer, guitarist, and even a teacher. She started out teaching music to the children around townships, from her family’s Amajika Youth and Children’s Art Project, this was before she got a chance to attend the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. After her return, she released her first album ‘Inyakanyaka’, in 1996. Her love for helping the youth is what fuels the passion in her music, as she is trying to educate the young generations.

Her acting skills have seen her linked to a number of art films and productions, such as The Red Scorpion, Shaka Zulu, and even being a mentor to some of the actors in the critically acclaimed Sarafina.

Ashley Floorise Mkhize

He is ranked as the third-best freestyler in Africa and has performed for thousands of people in South Africa, and around the world in places like Dubai, Czech Republic, India, Zambia just to name a few.  In 2017, he became the first South African to win a medal at the Superball Freestyle Championship.

MCM – Cornet Mamabolo

Cornet Mamabolo

He is one of the most recognizable faces on television, playing the character of troublesome Thabo “Tbose” Maputla on SABC1’s hit series, Skeem Saam.

Born in Limpopo, Cornet Mamabolo came to Joburg with nothing but a dream. Fast-forward to 2018, he has become a seasoned theatre/TV director, writer, translator and a performer for both theatre and on-screen. His ambition and talents know no boundaries, as he has also paid it forward by creating the Rural Education Festival and opened a library in his hometown in Limpopo.
