We know that the elections occupied your TL this week, sweeping all the other fun news under the rug. Luckily we are cleaning house today and we’re bringing you a recap of that should have trended!

Lucifer – Americans have definitely showcased their love for South African languages this past week. The Netflix hit show Lucifer shook South Africans when a demon character spoke in Afrikaans.

The role of the demon was played by a South African actress Lesley-Ann Brandt who later explained to fans what language she was speaking.

Last but not least a BCC radio presenter was fired after tweeting an image of a chimpanzee, dressed in clothes, as a comment on the caption “Royal Baby leaves hospital”. Considering the biracial genetics of baby Archie, this racist connotation wasn’t received well.
